희망과 용기의 강론 - A homily of hope and courage

인터넷에서 새로 선출되신 프란치스코 교황님의 부활 성야 미사 강론을 읽었다.
그 분은 낯섬에 대해 우리의 마음을 열 수 있기를,
포기하지 않고 예수님께 의탁할 수 있기를, 요청하셨다.
그리고 그 힘은 그 분의 언행을
마음에 깊이 새기고 되돌아보는 데에서 나온다고 하셨다.


I read Easter Vigil homily by newly-elected Pope Francis on the Internet.
He asked we open our hearts to Jesus' invitation to Newness,
that we depend on Him without giving up.
He also pointed out that the strength to do that
would come from remembering His words and deeds.


1주일 여전 양곤에서 귀국한 이후,
다시금 일상 패턴의 늪으로 빠져들어가기 시작하는 나에게
왠지 희망과 용기를 주는 말씀이시다.

I came back to Korea from Myanmar about a week ago,
and I find myself to be dragged into the swamp of my usual daily patterns.
Our pope's homily gave me hope and courage.
