어느 순간 우리들 모두가 참 불쌍한 존재들이라고 느낀 적이 있는가? 각자 열심히 살아가지만 사람의 탓이든 하늘의 뜻이든 일이 잘 풀리지 않거나 갖가지 고뇌에 사로잡힐 수밖에 없는 인간의 운명이랄까?Have you ever felt that we are pitiful beings? Although each of us does our best, either by human or by heaven, it happens that things are not going well and that we undergo loads of agonies. Humans are destined that way?
예수님은 십자가 처형을 앞두고 이 땅에 두고 갈 당신의 제자들이 마치 아비 없는 고아처럼 느껴져 한없이 슬퍼하셨다. 가련한 우리 인간은 오직 하느님의 은총에만 기댈 수 있는 것이 아닐까...
Before being taken to the Cross, during a long good-bye, Jesus felt strong pity and compassion for the disciples because they looked like an orphan without a father. For us, pitiful humans perhaps, the only place to turn to is God's grace.
